Kelsang Tamka

The Kelsang Tamka was minted probably 1910 and was struck to be made as presents to monks during the grand Monlam chenmo festival. It is a typical Tamka with the 8 lucky symbols on the back and the inscription of the Tibetan government on front. The Kelsang Tamka shows some varieties in the number of dots that are placed before and after each of the 4 blocks of the inscription. I will sign dots as "o" and no dot as "x". Reading the dots starts in the above horizontal line of the inscription and continues clockwise.
